Cascades developer, North American Properties (NAP) purchased the Old City Waterworks building in April 2019 and is currently working with the Tallahassee Trust for Historic Preservation to explore possibilities for its refurbishment.

Listed on both the Local and National Registers of Historic Places, the renovation of this building will complete Tallahassee’s Four Corners of History, inclusive of the Waterworks, the former Leon County Health Unit, the historic Caroline Brevard Grammar School and a future historical plaza honoring the local Civil Rights Movement and other key aspects of Tallahassee’s history. While no decisions have been made on the building’s final use, NAP intends for it to again become a source of community pride and further contribute to the establishment of a vibrant, 18-hour downtown.
