Cascades Project work nears completion, leasing begins

The finish line is in sight.
Construction work for Phase I of the massive Cascades Project is “topping out,” meaning the bones of its AC Hotel by Marriott and adjacent apartment building are finished.
Towering cranes will soon be removed. Interior work remains, including dry wall, plumbing and electrical installation, said Shawn McIntyre, managing partner for North American Properties, the project’s developer.
“We didn’t wait to start all of that. About 50% of that is already done,” said McIntrye, adding Phase I is about 70% complete.
