After two years of construction and the recent debut of a brand new hotel and luxury apartment building, developer North American Properties is moving forward with Phase II at Cascades.
NAP’s top brass officials hadn’t been in Tallahassee since November 2019.
On Sunday, CEO Tom Williams, COO Kevin Riley and NAP’s Board of Directors flew into the capital city to eyeball progress resulting in the Millstream at Cascades, the site’s luxury apartments, and the AC Hotel Tallahassee Universities at the Capitol.
The hotel, now eight stories tall, was only built to the third floor for their last visit, said Shawn McIntyre, NAP’s managing partner for Florida and the project’s developer.
By Monday, McIntye said the board met and gave its approval to pursue Phase II.
Pending permit approval, McIntyre said it could be about 18 months before NAP breaks ground on Phase II, an installment of new townhomes and more apartments in an 11-story building.
